Who you are dealing with
This site is run by Emerson Sullivan Ives, trading as Golf With Pros (GWP), 77 Broadley Drive, Torquay, Devon, TQ2 6UF, golfwithpros@gmail.com.
What GWP is
GWP arranges rounds between you and a self-employed golf professional. We are the intermediary. The professional is not our employee and we do not coach you ourselves.
The professionals listed set their own hourly rates and play on their own time off. We arrange the booking, take payment, and pass on their fee.
About the professionals
We list each professional's own description of themselves, their home club and their rate. We do not currently hold PGA membership numbers for the professionals on this site and have not independently verified their qualifications. If that matters to you — and it reasonably might — please ask us or the professional before you book. We will say so here when that changes.
A booking is a request until it is accepted
Choosing a pro and going through checkout authorises your card rather than charging it. The professional then has 48 hours to accept or decline. The money is only taken if they accept; if they decline or don't answer, the hold is released and you are charged nothing. See Cancellations & refunds.
What the price covers
- The pro's time — their hourly rate for the length of the round. An 18-hole round is billed as four hours whatever the pace on the day.
- Travel — added where the course is more than 12 miles from the professional's home region, with an overnight beyond 50 miles.
- Group coordination — a small fee for groups of two or three.
- Booking fee — 10%, which is what GWP keeps for arranging the round.
- Green fees — the club's own charge, passed through at cost and not marked up. Whether your professional also needs one depends on the club; the course page says which.
The total is shown before you pay and is recalculated on our server, so the price you see is the price charged.
Tee times
You tell us the rough window you would like. The club sets the actual tee time when it confirms, so the window is a preference and not a guarantee.
What you agree to
- To give accurate contact details, so your professional can reach you.
- To turn up, or cancel in line with the refund policy.
- To follow the club's own rules on dress, conduct and pace of play.
- To pay any green fee owed directly to the club, where it is not part of your booking.
Things we are not responsible for
We do not limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not let us limit. Subject to that:
- Golf carries risk. You play at your own risk and should have your own insurance if you want cover.
- We are not responsible for the club's condition, its decisions, or its closure.
- We are not responsible for the professional's coaching judgement, beyond arranging the booking with reasonable care and skill.
- Where we are liable, our liability is limited to what you paid for that booking.
Accounts
Keep your password to yourself. Tell us if you think someone else has it. We can suspend an account that is being used to abuse the service or the professionals on it.

Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. Nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
